“My favourite thing that I have been involved with within the department was our second year Theatre Practice Production ‘Back to Pripyat’. It was based on the Chernobyl disaster and was my first proper production that I Stage Managed! What I would say is special about this course is the amount of opportunities offered to the students in the department. There is always something that you can get involved with and are encouraged to try new things. I like how the department as a whole are extremely supportive of one another, everyone is so friendly and happy to help in any way that they can.”

So the war of the worlds module was so much fun as we got to experiment with so many textures. - Third Year Student (Joint Honours with Film)
“Hi everyone! I’m the face behind the screen, and am in charge of the social media accounts for the GRC. My favourite thing I’ve been involved in so far since being at Uni is the recent ‘Oceans of Stories’ project as it gave me the chance to develop both my acting and script writing skills. The project allowed each theatre maker a high level of creative freedom to create theatre around their own interests within storytelling. I would say that the best thing about this course is the wide range of theatre styles, genres and time periods that are studied within the course, as well as how we as students are always encouraged to follow our own interests within our work.”

It also allowed me to meet other students in different years and it gave me the confidence to put on my own HUDDEE in my first year. I chose this course over others because it gave me insight into both the music industry and theatre industry. Not many other courses offers a realistic and job based degree which has so many opportunities and chances to become a better theatre practitioner and musician.”
